Babylon Sound System

Babylon’s sound system reached its final level in 2007 with renovations which it truly matches the quality of Babylon.

First choice of many technical rider over years, Babylon was designed with L-Acoustics Speakers Systems’ most sutiable models. Operation of acoustic simulation and selection of the products had been executed by L-Acoustics Turkey distributor Elit Işık ve Ses Teknolojileri’s technical manager Emre Defne. After the simulation working, system was mounted with the same configuration and form as the simulation. Since the first show with this system all musicians and audience show their appreciation of the quality and the power of sound by thanking us.

Babylon Sound System Main Speakers: (L-R)

Babylon’s main system consists of 4 L-Acoustics ARCS (Arrayable Radial Coherant System) WST®) (Wavefront Sculpture Technology) speakers and 6 SB118 high powered subbass speaker located under them. ARCS speakers contain licensed DOSC® sound rooting structure whics is created by L-Acoustics. ARCS speakers have the feature of enabling sound to be heard in the same quality and level at every point due to DOSC® technology. ARCS speakers have the sound pressure of 134dB with 1 speaker and 139dB with 2 speakers aligned next to each other.(tower configuration).

ARCS’s emmision is 22,5° horizontally, 20° up and 40° down vertically with the way its hung due to DOSC® . This emmision angles are modified and mounted to Babylon fully and perfectly with Soundvision acoustic design. The sound pressures for SB118 Subbass speakers located under L-R towers 131dB for one speaker, 137dB for two speakers, 143Db for four speakers all alined.

Babylon Sound System Balcony Fill Speakers:

While selecting the most suitable sound system to Babylon, it is also taken in consideration that every point is covered. This is why 4 -Acoustics 8XT 8"+1,5" Coaxial speakers were used at side of the balcony and in the front of the balcony for support. In order not to disrupt view angles of the stage and the design of the place 8XTs are hung up to ceiling with L-Acoustics’ adjustable ETR8‐2 U shaped handles using steel ropes. In addition to that all system is executed by L-Acoustics' LA4 4 channel processor amplifier. Frequency overlaps and distance problems are being fixed by using LA4’s delay timing adjustments. System’s power and voltages sent to components with amplifier channel heats can be monitored online through amplifiers and LA Network Manager.

Babylon Stage Screens and DJ Fill Speakers:

Babylon’s stage screen systems are replaced by L-Acoustics’ most recent and popular product active coaxial speaker 112P 12"+3" due to its sound quality and easiness of usage. 112P’s are being used in all live acts or DJ performances either as a screen or a fill speaker depending on demand. 112P’s have amplifiers and have the power of 1000watt amplifier. These amplifier is being executed by Digital operator DSP processor. This DSP encompassed all sorts of applications (FRONT, FILL, MON, XOVER). With adjustments from its back panel it could be used on top of ground speaker, main speaker, front supportive speakers or subbass speaker. This way Babylon’s stage set-up becomes more flexible for different uses.
