Erkin Koray Tribute by Ünal Vanii, November 14 at Babylon!

Ünal Vanii began his musical journey in 1971 as a drummer, later working as a bass guitarist with numerous rock bands. After participating in various international projects, he continued his musical path with Erkin Koray in 1979. Ünal Vanii’s signature can be found in the compositions of three tracks featured on Erkin Koray’s Ceylan cassette: “Gözlerim Her Yerde Seni Aradı” (“My Eyes Searched for You Everywhere”), “Anlamadım” (“I Didn’t Understand”), and “Bir Gün Geçti Aradan” (“A Day Has Passed”).

Since 2018, the artist has focused on solo productions, releasing two singles titled “Yoruldum” (“I’m Tired”) and “Haykırdım” (“I Cried Out”). His latest release, “Kumsalda” (“On the Beach”), marks the third installment of this creative phase. Describing his 53-year music career with the words, “In these years, which I call my maturation period, I now wish to share the works I’ve done and will do with music lovers,” Ünal Vanii takes the stage at Babylon for a special night honoring Erkin Koray.
